VIVIEN K. ist ein kleines Label mit einer großer Vision.
Mit unserem Anspruch auf höchstes Schneiderhandwerk stellen wir Kleidung her, die Sie ein Leben lang begleitet. Die Materialien die wir einsetzen sind von bester Qualität, und um die höchstmögliche Transparenz aller Herstellungsprozesse zu gewährleisten, ausschließlich in der EU produziert.
Den Baumwollstoff für unsere Maß-Hemden und -Blusen Manufaktur beziehen wir aus Italien, England und der Schweiz. Für die Materialien unserer WEEKEND, BUSINESS und EVENING Kollektionen forschen wir nach innovativen Produktionstechnologien, mit Schwerpunkt Nachhaltigkeit. Alle Kleidungsstücke werden in unserem Atelier im Herzen Münchens hergestellt.
VIVIEN K. is a small clothing label that specialises in creating beautifully cut garments that last a lifetime. Placing strong emphasis on ‘Heimat’ - meaning ‘Home’, the design process at Vivien K. combines innovative design and production techniques with a touch of nostalgia. Long-lasting materials paired with traditional manufacturing techniques - this eclectic mix of opposites is key in producing well-tailored, high quality garments with a contemporary spin.
All materials we use are made within the EU. The close proximity to heritage textile producers from all parts of Europe ensure a high level of transparency throughout the manufacturing process. Our cotton fabric is sourced from Italy Switzerland and England, but we strive to combine these classics with innovative materials and put an emphasis on sustainability. All garments are hand-made by highly skilled seamstresses at the atelier in Munich.
Story
Die Designerin Vivien Charlotte Kreitl ist im Frühjahr 2015 nach 8 Jahren England wieder in ihre Heimat München zurückgekehrt. In London studierte sie Mode Design am renommierten London College of Fashion und gründete 2010 das Label VIVIEN K.
Das Wort “Heimat”, das in keiner anderen außer der Deutschen Sprache zu finden ist, stand schon immer im Mittelpunkt ihrer Designarbeit. Inspiration sammelt Vivien auf ihren Reisen und kombiniert innovative Design- und Produktionsideen mit traditionellen und bewährten Materialien und Herstellungstechniken. In jeder Kollektion wird eine alte Handwerkskunst nachhaltig unterstützt. Da heutzutage viele traditionelle Handwerkstechniken Gefahr laufen in Vergessenheit zu geraten, hat sie es sich mit ihrem Label Vivien K. zur Aufgabe gemacht, handwerkliche Berufe, wie zum Beispiel traditionelles Lodenwalken, das Sticken und das Klöppeln von Spitze wieder aufleben zu lassen, zu fördern und sie mit ihrem hohen Anspruch auf perfektes Schneiderhandwerk abzurunden.
Munich-born designer Vivien Charlotte Kreitl began her fashion journey in London where she honed her skills at the renowned London College of Fashion and in 2010 founded the label Vivien K. After 8 years in the UK she moved back to Germany in spring 2015 to set up business here. Relocating to Munich has brought Vivien closer to the source of beautifully made materials and crafts.
In combination with inspiration drawn from the designer’s own travels, the label features the merging of the meticulously made and the beauty of culture. Vivien’s Design ethos always incorporates the Label’s emphasis on high quality, sometimes hand-made, materials for garments finished by the most experienced and capable sewers, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.
In the fast-fashion world of the 21st century some traditional hand-craft techniques are seen less and less. Vivien embraces one disappearing handicraft such as traditional loden or lace production into each season and incorporates it into the heart of the brand.
